Would this be James Dean as a kid, later obviously associated with Porsche in general, and the 550 Spyder he died in in particular?

Otto Puzzell

Nope. This lad's still around.

Did he won a title like "Most beautiful baby of whatever"?

Given the puzzle picture, I'd say that's a stretch!  :D

No, he earned his early accolades. And his later accolades, as well - though his work was not to everyone's tastes

Well, in the puzzle picture he may have had just his finger nipped by a crab, which may account for his expression.

Ummm...  How about Christo and his Post-It Note car?

Or, perhaps, a cat. Cats don't like water

Not born in Europe

Uh oh! This one is sliding toward the black hole. Who can stop it??!!

Here's a clue, in fact there's two - in the form of a nun, and an armed bandit, too.

If you know who they are, you can follow their trail, the crux of this conundrum will soon be unveiled.

Neither the puzzle boy nor the clues pics are Mr. Lewis

Frank Gorshin, then?
so the car could be the 1927 Model T roadster from Dragstrip Girl.

But, given some of your recent puzzles, I suppose that the car is the Batmobile, ex-Lincoln Futura, which, as The Riddler, he steals in Return to the Batcave.

EDIT: And then, I could be wrong, first because he's still alive, second because I see no trace of any celebrity before kindergarten.
But he did play a one eyed nun.

Frank was the clue; he's not the puzzle subject. He was earning money performing before he graduated high school, he was not doing so before kindergarten.

Batmobile is correct however. Still need the puzzle boy's ID

Since Ray identified Gorshin, an extra point is reserved for him if he can identify the film from which the clue pics were taken.

The film should be Record City, but I still have to recognize that kid...

...and I guess it's Burt Ward, who was a professional ice skater at age 2.

Complete.

Burt was not in Record City (point for that too, by the way), but his ofttimes co-star Gorshin was.
