Shown with the Airstream is Jack Payne, a popular UK dance band leader. He liked the car and bought 14, all the same colour, for the members of his band.

Lucky he gives the source for those pics too. there are two surviving Airstreams, one in the UK and one in Australia or New Zealand. I wonder if anybody has seen the Antipodean car?
