not from Italy and not a Zastava
From Europe?
Yes, it is European :)
Could it be Swiss?
Yes, it's from Switzerland
It isn't a Monteverdi 250 Z Zivil is it?
It's indeed not a Monteverdi. However, my source thinks that there is a connection with Monteverdi...
Saurer?
Yes! It's a Saurer. Locked for you for 48 hrs to come up with the model name.
Rats!
I know that in 1978 Monteverdi created the 230 M - a prototype exists at the Monteverdi Museum. It was created together with Saurer and was powered by a Volvo engine.
If the model name is not 230 M then the race is open for all

You've got it!
It's the Saurer Model 288 prototype from 1980. The Monteverdi connection is indeed not reliable. The car was equipped with a Volvo petrol engine, axles were from Dana. About 25 cars were built, but as it was rejected by the Swiss army the project was abondoned.
And I was on that page - well congratulations, you found it!
It was easier to find with German keywords..

Here is an earlier Monteverdi prototype that looks quite similar:

I have read that this car was also known as Saurer F006. I write it here so that others will find it if they look for it under that name.
