a point as usual if you get it right:
1st step up..
2nd step...
American?
American engine?
Yes, the engine is American
and off she goes!
I'm surprised to find that no other car of this make is to be found in the solved section, with a total production in the 4 digit range
Canadian make?
Not Canadian
Down under?

Yes, the engine is American
There is more American then only the engine...
It's not from down under
Completely American?
The make is American, but not the coachbuilder.
European coachbuilder?
Yes!
French?
Not French
Italian?
Not Italian
GB?
Not British
Belgium?
Getting closer..
Germany?
Just a close as Belgium..
Netherlands?
yes, the search can begin for real now ;)
By B.T. van Rijswijk & Zonen??
Not them.
Was it built in Den Haag?
No, not from Den Haag (The Hague)
Van Leersum?
No, not from them
Veth?
Or from Amsterdam S&vB (Rijtuig- en Zadelmagazijn Schutter & van Bakel)?
None of the above, but it is from Amsterdam!
Sieberg made Willys?
Neither of those
A.R.M built some early Cadillacs. Is this one of them?
It's not by A.R.M. and it's not a Cadillac. However, there is a Cadillac relation...
A lesser GM brand, then. Chevrolet?
No, the relation is not in the US, but in the Netherlands...
Built by Bronkhorst??
Not by them

The engine (and more than just the engine) are American, but I'm wrong to guess American brands?
It is an American make, but the coachbuild is Dutch. I haven't found any relation between the US make and Cadillac, but there is a relation between the coachbuilder and Cadillac
Thank you for that clarification
Schutter & Van Bakel ?
Not them.
It's the only coachbuild that I've found from this company. There regular business was something else.

Motorcycle buissness?
no, they were in the car business, but not known for their coachbuilding .
Did they import cars from the US?
Yes!
So if it is Cadillac related...is it 1917 Glide CeHa by Cadillac House?
They were originally from Delft but moved to Amsterdam....good move if I say so myself ;D
I'll forgive you the typo :D
It is indeed the 1917 Glide "CeHa"
Very well done
CeHa is how C-H is pronounced in Dutch. C-H of course stands for Cadillac House. I re-read my source and they were actually only a Cadillac dealer. They tried to become car importers, first with Glide and later with GN but they went bankrupt in 1920.
Thanks!
Fixed the typo though..I hate those :D
The car was called "Glide Six";
Nice find, but this particular model wasn't the only one with the "six" addition. I think it sometimes was called Glide and sometimes Glide-Six. in one advert they named this particular model "sporting-four" ;)
Then I would assume we need to call it a Glide-Six Sporting Four (CeHa)?
