You're on the right lines but thats not the right car (and its not actually pictured racing in Guernsey)

Jagernought 5100

I did not realise there were two of these beasts... :)

Yep thats the one (I'm not certain how its supposed to be spelt - it varies in different entry lists)
I did not realise there were two of these beasts... :)

Theres been lots built over years of various types. They're built  for beach racing here in Guernsey but some of them are raced in the local hillclimbs as well having had slicks fitted. Heres a few more from pictures I took at the bottom of the hill a few years ago (the pics were too big to post fully so I had to just crop them around the cars)...

The spelling was a Copy & Paste, so I thought the mis spelling was intentional... ;D

I have read about this racecar before ( I thought it was big block Chrysler powered, but  looking around on the web,  I read about Jag & Rover power )

You are in Guernsey?

Would you mind if I picked your brain about my Mallock U2 Mk6?

It was a Hillclimb Racer in Guernsey as well.

I'd love to retrace some of its history....

I have seen it spelt that the way you did, the way I did plus other ways as well. It used to have a 4.2-litre Jag straight six (hence the name, I always assumed it was a combination of Jaguar and juggernaut) which it had for many years, I'm not actually too sure what engine it has now (but you might be right about being an American V8 or it might be a bigger Jag). If I find out I'll post it on here.
Also I've just remembered the car from the first pic I just posted (#76 Roger King's Jaguar Special) was once featured in the back of Autosport under the headline "Is this the weirdest racing car in Britain?" (or similar)
As for the Mallock I'll try but I doubt I'll be any use to be honest. I probably don't go back far enough to help (I'm 25) I don't remember a Mallock that old racing over here...

Thanks man... :)

Yeah, you wouldn't have seen it run.

I've owned it for at least 20 years now...

That is Jagernaut, a Guernsey sandracer that is used for Hillclimbs.

( and yes, I think it has been solved earlyer too... :) )

I've also seen it with the spelling Jagernought.

Jaguar powered.
