I said no to your well-known..It's American.

Is it an accessory supplier?  The car is a '42-45 Buick.  This top looks like it would fit most GM convertibles of the era.  They may have also made the fancy side trim bits and the swoopy mirrors.

João

Let's say it's a "Coach Corporation" Locked for you until your next reply!

Now that we know it's a Buick :

hugo90

Don't lock for me.  I don't have much chance of figuring this one out.

Aaron65

That's a weird one.  At first, I thought it was a '42 Special, but now that it's whole, you can see it has a '47/8 Special grille.  I'm going to guess the car was once a '47 or '48 Special 2-door Sedanet, but I have no idea who turned it into a roadster!

How about a funeral car builder like S&S Hess & Isenhardt?
Actually Flxible was more known for using Buick based funeral coaches.

I must say the lines in the windshield/roof area really are not all that well done.
Makers of hearses and ambulances usually had a better eye for proportions than this car!

João

No...the same company built Packards  :yuck:

Vincent Vell Vet

Henney!

And the long wheelbase Henneys were verey much not  :yuck:, but the short wheelbase cars were  :yuck:.
...as were short wheelbase versions from ANY US hearses!.... :yuck:!!!

Vincent Vell Vet

What? Not Henney?
You don't mean Dutch Darrin, do you?

Vincent Vell Vet

Back to the top with you from page 3.

Not by Darrin.

The same company made retro-style Packards.

The maker is known as the Bayliff Coach Corporation, Lima, OH.

An even longer name refering to their "Packards" is shown at the plate of the pictured car:
