Who knows this car?
I do :)
Expert´s time.
Does this car have an "alternative" powerplant?
Volvo Turbo-engined!
I found it in the first book I looked in, World Cars 1980. It says Minicars Large Research Safety Vehicle, based on a Chevrolet Impala with air-cushion restraints giving protection to 40mph in frontal crashes. The same picture is shown in color.
A perfect answer. This is your point!
A nice hint was your update on the Minicars RSV in the Solved Puzzles category, as it showed the same logo on the front wing. ;D
Right you are, my eagle-eyed friend! ;)

That logo is actually for the US Department of Transportation.
You´ll never learn enough - thank you!
Wow ... that's cool, actually.
I'd prefer it be based off the Caprice Classic, though ... no FWD connection whatsoever. LOL. ;)
