I'm not to proud to again jump on the "missing car" puzzle bandwagon and engage in manufacturing a blatant copy. Here's another grouping of pics with the cars blanked out. I trust some will be quite easy, and at least one will be maddeningly difficult to crack. Points will be added once the cars are all ID'd.
Enjoy! :)
number 8 appears to be a 1960 Ford Galaxy station wagon
Welcome to AutoPuzzles, reverend! :)

It's not a Galaxie, (were it a sedan, I'd suggest police departments would usually buy Custom or Fairlane trim level sedans, versus a Galaxie), but it is a 1960 Ford Station Wagon. The wagon's seemingly contradictory name, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ is written on its side. #8 is is locked for you, so that you may complete it.
Country squire? or Country Sedan depending on side trim.
Not many wood-grained cop cars out there. Country Sedan it is!
Number one could be a 54/55 Mercury coupe?
Not a Mercury
#6 - 1956 Ford Country Squire Wagon
I have a hunch that #3 is a chrome bumper (late 60s/early 70s) MGB, but I cant find anything to support that. Am I close?
Not an MG, but not a million miles away...
Expert time
12 FIAT 600.

Is this correct or close? #6 - 1956 Ford Country Squire Wagon
Sorry - missed that. No, it's not.
Is no 5 a Mini? (Morris Mini Minor/Austin 7)
#5 is not a Morris or Austin of any type.
Re: my previous reply, #6 is related, in a way, to a Ford. Since I flubbed the reply twice, that one's locked for you.
Only #9 and #11 might be called obscure.
Thanks for the lock. #6 is a mercury montery wagon, about 1956.
MissingCarsII-9 - '57 Ford Thunderbird

Here goes the only one I was sure of.
That kind of setting, a cosy house in suburbia, a middle-class couple (or sometimes a few women friends dressed for a picnic) is typical of Ford photographs in the 1950's. They may even have used that house several times.
#6 : Mercury Monterey Station Wagon 1956 ?

Not number 9. But since you've found a B&W picture of the puzzle pic, I know what you meant.
10 is the the T-bird.
OK, Pro's - now's your time. I'll be away until tomorrow, so please be patient if I don't reply to your guesses before then. :)

Well done, and with the original pics as a bonus!
#4 That model's attire is a big clue.
#7 What's behind the cars might provide some guidance.
#9 A race car, not a hot rod.
Is #4 a Cheetah?

Not a Cheetah, but you have interpreted the clue correctly.

Correct!
#7 - no internationally famous prize for getting this one - just a point. (it's the left-most of the two, small, obscured vehicles)
#9 - it's a _ _ _
#7 is the Nobel 200

Wendax is right again!
One more to close it out...
;)
Is #9 a CBS then?
No. Read Fred's words carefully.
Channel 7 in Melbourne is also known as HSV 7. Is it HSV then?
You've interpreted Fred's words correctly. :)
But it's not a HSV. But this car is from down under, and has another tie-in with Channel 7
It's a JMW. Builder John Wynne can be seen in the picture with two Channel 7 dancers.
Yay! Another puzzle wrapped up! ;D
