Another Puzzle about cars, and songs about cars, and the artists who recorded those songs. This installment again spans the scale from "this is ridiculously easy" to "what, are you kidding me?!

The rules are as follows: No points for naming one of these cars - they are mostly quite easy. The points will be awarded for identifying the artist (1 point each), the song (1 point each), and the correct pairing (1 point each) as represented by a corresponding picture of a car, or an automotive event. While many of these artist have gone on to other walks of life, or that recording studio in the sky, and though their records may be long-since out-of-print, there are no insider-only "you have to have the book" requirements. Patience and good detective work is all that is required to find the solution to all of these. The answers are all available to the general public.

I'm sure Song A must be 'Taco Wagon', so artist 4 must be the De-Fenders, who did rather rousing version of that track!

That quote was very confusing.... was that 'No' to Big Black Cad, The De-Fenders and Taco Wagon?

Artist 4 is definitely The De-Fenders... however the singer they are backing is Ian Whitcomb.... so I suppose that could be Song M - too Many Cars on the Road with the lyric;
"Sitting with my baby
In my big black car"

The BelAirs sang "Squad Car," which would be Song C...

The quote indicated you had identified the artist correctly.

You have also correctly ID'd artist 4. I wiped out Mr. Whitcomb's face because he was not on the record in question. "Too Many Cars on the Road" is not anywhere in this puzzle

The 406 being the engine in this 1963 Falcon... (but it's song K, Barrett!)

And of course you're right!   :bag: I forgot to check what engine powered this baby. And there is a blonde in it too (Carol Linley maybe?)

That's it - the Ford Cougar 406 in this case. The blonde is not named in any of the versions of the photos I sourced.

I only made that guess because the car was featured in 1963 in a movie called Under The Yum Yum Tree with Jack Lemmon and Carol Linley. But the puzzle picture seems to predate this one.

So it must be Song #J.
I don't know much about the model A fours, but on the other rod the carb seems to sit on top, which should make it a V8.

I found another one. No8 is Jim Messina and His Jesters. They had one album: The Dragsters, featuring a song: No Name Dragster, which could be Song K

There's also a track on that album called "Tamale Wagon", which could be Song A

I am not American, which seriously hinders my ability to match the right band with the right song.

That is indeed Frankie Valli's group (Frankie in front), The Four Lovers, who in 1956 released an album called Joy Ride, which included the song Joy Ride.
