I think there's a Buick Model 10 under that pile of people (a bit of a hint on the banner behind the two sitting on the running board?). The date is 21 February 1910, and we are outside the William A. Stickney Cigar Company shop at 229 South Main Street in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Enigmatically, this photo appears on the Utah State Historical Society's website under the caption "10-Day Nonstop Buick, Randall Dodd Company", suggesting that it might have been in some sort of endurance trial, but I haven't been able to find any information to confirm that. In fact the same photograph appears in the book Salt Lake City: 1890-1930 by Topping and Ferguson (2009) with the caption shown below, and in this case there's no mention of any 10-day trial.
The Randall-Dodd Auto Company Ltd was the local agent for Buick, Oldsmobile and Thomas Flyer, with premises just along the road at number 223, and it looks as if they used this car for demonstration and publicity purposes.
