Four cars that are all well known by any puzzler. I want to know what connects the four!

Djetset

Nice puzzle.  Do they all share the same headlights and headlamp surrounds?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

barrett

No, they don't share headlights as far as I know!

Aaron65

All imported into the USA by Max Hoffman?

Is the connection something visible in the pictures?

In a way, yes

Not that!

Is the connection the setting of the photographs?

Not that, but that's the closest guess so far

Nothing to do with these particular images, but the connection is not a motoring one

I think examples of these four cars appeared together in a movie.

My guess is the 1959 musical comedy "Never Steal Anything Small".

All four appear in this clip of the duet "Sorry, I want a Ferrari" with Cara Williams and James Cagney. The Borgward appears in the background in several shots, and the other three are mentioned by name.

Or I may have got this completely wrong!  ;D

Perfect answer!

The Borgward is something of a red herring as it isn't mentioned, but the connection is that they are all cars Cara Williams doesn't want in 'Never Steal Anything Small'!
