The Ford GAA: All aluminum, DOHC, 18 liters, and it killed some Nazis in its lifetime. What more could you want from an engine?

You need to register to see pics, but the discussion alone is pretty good too :)
I think I may have made a "name that engine" contest from a cross section of the GAA valvetrain at one point....
Seen that pic before somewhere. Musta been here.
Can we assume this motor has some torque? ;D
I much prefer the Packard V1650 powered Mustang (P51) ;D

Know what it is?
Please, respond below and let us know the designation of the car posted here, and the type/source of the engine.

Thanks!
It's a 1970 mustang with a Sherman Tank GAA engine, as described here:

...and also over on the HAMB forums, (where I first saw it), but the pics seem to be gone:

The very embodiment of the "because I can" school of thought. :)
OK - you've ID'd the engine, but I've deleted the links.
Please see this thread (and dozens others asking that sources not be posted)

Now - what did the builder call it? (I'm holding this puzzle for your replay, Mr. M, until the new year) ;)
Ah... the mad scientist behind this beauty called it the "Mustank" :)
I have it listed as the Mustang Mock 1 (vs "Mach 1"), but have no proof that the owner dubbed it that. The point is yours!
