Tell me all you know about this car and 1 point will be yours.
(this is not that hard  ;))

woodinsight

I've never seen this before, is it Italian-based car from the USA?

Paul Jaray

This car is featured in a book covering this kind of cars.
It is not an obscure racer of his kind...

woodinsight

I'm a bit stumped with this one at the moment.
Can I ask if it has an American chassis and engine?

This picture shows a later development of a sport car.
It had different engines (Ford and Cadillac) but this one has got another one.
The body comes from another known name.
The engine and the body originally fitted (later modified) are both American.

... but not pictured I guess? Or do you talk about another book?  ;)

Paul Jaray

That book and for who is wonder which one, the one about Vintage American Road Racing Cars...
No pictures and a different engine.

Eave Special?
Not Meteor-body or Chevrolet\Oldsmobile engine...and not Eave.  ;)

pnegyesi

It wasn't Crosley engined, was it?

Paul Jaray

Not Crosley...nearly ten times Crosley's capacity  ;D

El Toro (3) later Goldenrod?
Jack Baker's Black Jack Special of 1961?

They have both the same engine (Pontiac) but you won't find this car with that engine in that book and the body is not by Byers.

woodinsight

Apologies - I amended my post to Jack Baker's Black Jack Special at the last moment..

Paul Jaray

I saw it but not that either (and not Ford\Cobra-Jaguar engine).

pnegyesi

Was there a Mercury engine involved in this project?

Paul Jaray

This car have a Pontiac engine.
In that book you can find a different sport with a different engine.
Not my source (or the book) reports a Mercury engine.
