What's this, who built it, when and what is it based on?
All for 1 point!

It's VW-based and it's from 1950.
It's not actually by Sodomka although there is a connection.
I'll lock it for you for 24 hours to see if you can come up with the full facts.

probably I'm wrong but I've find this on the web:
SODOMKA : "Built by Mr. Mechyre Czechoslovakian on a Kubel type 82 chassis"

No, you're not wrong.  It was built by Mr Mechyr on a wartime VW Kübelwagen type 82 chassis.
Although he built the car himself he was a former employee at both Sodomka and Karosa, where he learned his bodyworking skills.

Well done!

Looks not unsimilar to Wartburg?

That's exactly what I thought, and I assumed the first guess would be 'Wartburg?' but I was wrong!

Surely not from 1950 unless Mr Mechyr had a crystal ball where he could see the 1955 Wartburg 311.

Carnut

It must be a typo: the car looks much more modern than 1950.
What's correct? 1955? 1960?
