I actually like the idea, but imagine how high that mast really should be considering all the people carriers and SUV's on the roads today...

I agree. It also occurs to me that if every car had these, it would dilute the effectiveness, as a driver would challenged to make sense of a forest of masts with blinking red lights.

I´ve found  two pics of it in an old german hobby magazine.

It says that most of the instruments have been relocated into the driver´s door - that´s a real safety vehicle...
