For one point what is this and who designed and built it?

My sources say it's called a Black Prince, but I know no more.
Nothing to do with the Invicta of that name (or Prince Edward (1330-1376) also of that name ;)

You're almost there.  I will lock it for you for 48 hours so that you can let me have the name of the designer/company that made it.

The same source says it's only 850 cc (which I doubt) and built in 1985
The only Black Prince in Georgano was in 1920, so it's not that.
I think I have done as much as I want to, so don't bother to lock it for me!

It's the Reliant Kitten based Black Prince designed by William Towns

Allan L did all the hard detective work, but I'm afraid that Studhamudger gave the full information that I was looking for, so he gets the point.  Sorry Allan L!

Don't worry!
I'm getting within sight of being promoted out of Expert status, so I really don't want the points!
My bit was easy, given that the registration number was clear.

Who knows this car?

I´ve bought those two photos at the 2011 Maastricht Interclassics and Topmobiel fair.

There´s a well known name (hand) written on the back side of the photo, but no model name.

Let´s see if anybody knows more??

Thank you!

Williams Towns was the name written on the back side, but I did not know this one.

May you merge those photos with the older puzzle?

Djetset

That's William Towns himself driving the Black Prince, which was based on thr Reliant Kitten chassis and intended for production, which never happened as William Towns was sadly taken ill and died shortly after he presented the car.

William Towns planned production, both as a complete car and also in kit form, but as far as I know only two were ever made.
