Avions Voisin C6 Laboratoire 1923. First monocoque chassis F1 race car. This was a repost(sorry) :-\ Sometimes I wish I had more time to be a bookworm car geek...I guess it is better that I enjoy & experience high performance cars.

Don't give up!
It happened to each one of us (more than once...)  ;)

Well, that's only half the truth. As one can see, the photo is a new one. Since none of the four original Voisin C6 Laboratoire has survived, the pictured car is the replica of the 1923 Voisin C6 Laboratoire. The replica was built by Philippe Mock from Chavignon, France, and presented at the Retromobile 1993.

Hey, thanks for the more complete info. No offense intended, but please tell me you are not a Harry Potter look a like? You have amassed an amazing amount of points in a short period of membership, I have alot of respect for your automotive knowledge. Do you apply your knowledge with your job? Are you in the automotive industry? :)

No witchcraft used  ;D

No automotive connection on the job either. Just a mathematician working for the IT subsidiary of a big insurance company.

That's cool, your math skills would come in handy; with my Mustang 2 Cobra concept. It is critical to align & weld in the VW third member  exactly for accurate handling & shift linkage smoothness. Check out the concept under the automobile general discussion section. Give your thoughts & feedback, on what you think of the idea. :)
