This would be the 1966 TDX, an all-plastic car - both the chassis and the body was made of plastic. Its engine was a Chevrolet V8.

The TD in the name comes from the constructor's daughter's nick-name, 'Teedee' and the X stands for eXperimental.

Merge it if you want. I don't cling to that particular car. ;D
Will add the company's name later. (the company which is responsible for the body of the car)

Maybe another shot of the car would help you pros and feature writers?

I knew it!
TDX!
When I saw this pic I was sure it was a test for the roof I saw in a page about that plastic car but since that car was featured here 2 times already I thougt I was wrong.
Your second pic forced me to check my intuition!

"TEEDEE  AND HER FRIEND  SUZY
Here is some serious testing being done by Teedee and Suzy.   Actually,  this photo was part of the Motor Trend article on plastic cars.  It is such a great photo of two kids obviously enjoying their role as " test technicians " that I had to include it.

This photo shows clearly how the cantilevered concept allows the driver maximum visibility range.  The glass windshield was held in by a rubber adhesive compound similar to that used to hold modern windshields in place."

I made a double repost !? :bag:

Sorry, guys. I don't remember why, but it seems that I didn't check. Now, to complete the story and before I merge them, can you tell me (for no point, sorry, it would be meaningless now), what is Teedee's surname, who is the guy in my second picture, and to which other car (a solved puzzle) he is closely connected?

Teedee is\was Pat Amendolia's daughter nickname and in the site where this car is featured there is a page with his connection with the Yankee Rockefeller.

Ray B.

So. Merged. Pat Amendolia, of course, is the guy in my second picture.
