This is a tricky one, so it's going in at expert level - what's this car?
Any connection to a Dornier Delta?
Nope, no connection ......
Is it the Microdot designed by William Towns?
It does look somewhat similar, but there's no connection...
I have a feeling this won't last long with the pros......
British?
I lost this one...
Isn't it the car that was connected with a magazine?
Lika a contest for designing a car, or a car to be fitted with a chassis provided by the magazine?
The magazine can be either Popular Science or Popular Mechanics..
You are on the right track....
...was this car designed by a reader starting from a chassis provided from PS (or PM) and the winner of a contest?
(I'm not going to read all those magazines again, and I'm afraid I need to narrow down the area...)
yes it was a reader's winning design but the chassis was provided by a known name
Is this German, early 1970s?
Not German, but it is from the 1970s (latter half)
Dutch?
Anything to do with a guy named Louis Lepoix?
Not Lepoix...
1970-74?
A little later than this ...
This was not that easy!
In August 1975, Popular Mechanics was giving a chassis (Elcar Model 2000) as aprize for the best microcar design.
In December 1975, the proposal of Mr Steinn Sigurdsson was elected the winning one
In August 1979 (!!!) the car was ready in this form
The car is called Rafsi.
That's correct! A well-earned point to you. :)
A very unusual story: a car designed in Iceland built on an electric car platform from Zagato!
I believe that this is Iceland's one and only original road car - they don't get much more obscure than this...
William Towns would have been proud of the styling of this car!!
The Rafsi is not Iceland's only car though. I know of at least one more Icelantic car, which I can mention now, or leave as a sub-puzzle for somelse to identify (sadly I have no pictures of it).
So, can anyone name another car from Iceland? (make and model name for a point). ???
Vinland Saga?

Vinland Saga?
The question mark is all in your reply. I happen to know the Saga is a hoax...
I was never certain if the Vinland Saga was a hoax or not, but that was the car I was thinking of, so well done PJ, another point is added to your mighty tally.
Thank you!
BTW I've noticed that this car showed up in another "guess that car" forum, with no reference to Autopuzzles.
This seems to be against the rules:
don't forget to credit AP when you use pictures taken here, it is in our interest to make this group growing. ;)

Interesting. I could not find anything Googling in icelandic(well Google translated google search) so I believe you. But how do you know it is a Hoax?
The publisher told me! They inserted a fake car to prevent the info in the book being plagiarised...
The maker of the Rafsi also made 2 other cars, one before this one...
