I've not much knowledge about this car, but one particular name is crucial to get the point.
I'm almost certain that it's a Toyota. However, my poor old memory just can't get more than that!
You're on the wrong track!
SALE!
It's horribly familiar, but I just can't get the memory jogged ::)
It looks familiar, but I'm afraid it's not. It resembles many cars of that era, but it was also completely new for me!
The only other pic I've found is this rumpled one:
Concept by major Japanese maker?
No!
East European?
Italian?
Yes that was the most probable question... but no, it's not Italian. :-[
British?
Neither! ;)
Yank?
:shakehead:
German?
Neither!
Joining in: Swedish?
Not a Swede
Russian?
European?
At least European, yes!
(not Russian!)
French?
Non!
Spanish?
Yes!
Seat?
I found some Lada and Skoda that look very similar, but not that model.
The Škoda Super Sport, typ 724, ČSSR 1971 is the closest I could find but it is different.
It's from Spain as I mentioned before.
Not Seat involved as far as I know!

Any other big manufacturer involved?
As I've written in my first post my knowledge about this car is very limited.
What I'm waiting for is a certain name of a studio which was responsible for the design!
Pinnanferina (or however it is spelled)?

Pinnanferina (or however it is spelled)?
:lmao: :lmao: maybe Pininfarina? ... or Bananenfarina ;D
Hey now, it is 4:30AM and I only missed by 2 letters!
Is that a yes?
No, the Studio is not from a foreign country

Don't understand something: the car is Spanish, but the studio that made it is NOT Spanish yes? Is that design studio European?

As I understand it, the studio is from the same country as the car itself, e.g. Spain.

That's the correct interpretation! ;)
Mazel?
:shakehead:
Let's have a look what the Pros have to say...
Would like to know more about this car! ;)
Yesterday I've received its designation and some background information. Indeed an obsure project and obviousely completely forgotten today.
In other words: a real challenge for professionals.
The company had a certain connection to SEAT, but not in this project.
Bagovia (Bargon) for the design studio?
:shakehead:
I don't know if it is basically a design studio at all.
As far as I understand the car was built to demonstrate the company's advanced technological abilities.
Was it an automotive company at all?
Yes! :)
(afaik...)
So this car isn't Seat, isn't for Seat and etc.? It is a showcar of the company that build it?

Excellent interpretation! :)

With no further ideas :(
No more clues for the moment! Just wait for the next :bump:
From Your replies I have understood that this car isn't the one and only car from this company. Am I right?

That interpretation is not as good as your last... :-[
As far as I know the company is/was a kind of supplier.
I think I've found it absolutely accidentally! I have found a picture mentioning this car as ASTESA's!
Este coupe es el primer estudio estilistico de Astesa, una empresa espanola de importancia creciente en el mundo de la automocion.
Google translation:
This coupe is the first study of stylistic Astesa, a Spanish company in the growing importance of the automotive world.
You've found it!
Very good!! :applause:
I'll give you one point, but will add another to the one who tells me the model designation!
Isard?

Where did you get it?
Time to move it to the 'Solved' section. :)

Google of course. After getting the company name it was a piece of cake. I found a post on a spanish automotive forum, where there was a list of content of a magazine called "Autopista". Apparently there was something about the Astesa Isard on page 28 of #1243 in 1983 :)
You're so smart! ;D
No more pictures of this car (or mockup ?) for today?
Was it presented in 1983? Where?
1983 Barcelona, I guess? (I've found that magazine page)
Yes! Barcelona.. :)
I had this one stored for later posting, but under the name Astesa Seat S3...

I'm having an open mind for all new infos about that car! ;)
Not a new picture, but additional infos, though only in Spanish.
"Based on Lancia beta Montecarlo" if I read correctly?
Something else...
