I knew it from the start. Maybe someone can tell me how to insert a picture correctly?)

You can attach images using the "Additional Options" area under the posting box.  You can also inline images hosted elsewhere in jpg and gif formats using the [img] function.  It is hotlinked as a landscape photo icon above the posting box.

If I can be of further assistance in helping you post images, please ask.

It can be tricky with php webpages, you need to find a direct link to the image. With Firefox you can right click and select "copy image location", and then use that to insert it:

<image snipped since it's in the first post now>

The code I used:

Hope this helps,

It MIGHT help, S&M, if someone could READ the damn thing!    ::)

Here's how to hotlink to a photo on another server:

Paste the url of the picture here

If you want to put some text in for people to click on to open a link, do this:

Type your desired link text here, then

Not to worry. They practically had to hit me over the head with a Louisville Slugger to get me to do it right. Man, I am NEVER going back to Louisville!    ;D

One sad effect of the code tag is that it shrinks the text. It's useful for markup tutorials, though, because otherwise the board software will try to parse your un-renderable example images and links, as you can see in your post above :). In other words...

Here's how to hotlink to a photo on another server:

Paste the url of the picture here

If you want to put some text in for people to click on to open a link, do this:

Type your desired link text here, then

...is arguably more illuminating, I dare say.

Imagine how humiliated I am at this humiliation!    :banned:

As for the car at hand.... the image looks like it came from a sales brochure, so I'm going to assume this one actually made it to at least limited production. And with the exception of the somewhat bug-eyed headlamps, it looks rather nice. So I guess:

Early 60's Italian Etceterini based on Alfa mechanicals?

Thank you all!

As you can see I did it eventually...

It is indeed some kind of "Italian Etceterini", but not based on Alfa Romeo and it was built from 1964 -1966.

OSI did the bodywork - but it was never labelled OSI.

So if you can name the donor car of the mechanical components and chassis, you may find its real name...

Otto Puzzell

I didn't know you needed the donor car to decalre tis puzzle solved.

Per the CarsFromItaly.com site:

OSI 1200

Using the Fiat 1100 chassis and mechanicals as a basis, OSI constructed two very pretty derivatives, a coupé and a spider. They were produced in some numbers.

You are 75% right. But this particular car is different.

It was not called Fiat, and it was not called OSI, I´m sorry.

Fiat components were used, but it wasn´t a Fiat.

Fiat  had a "relative" in a country north of italy....

Perfectly done!

porridgehead

Who? Wha? Neckar on the pillar? Am I blind or just stoopit?

Wait, don't answer that. I'm going to stare at the thing a bit longer.

I still don't seen any Neckar anywhere.

Djetset

Is it the OSI St Tropez?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Allemano

It is, but that's not the complete name!

Djetset

OK.  Is the fuller name therefore OSI Neckar St Tropez 1200 S Spider? (wow, that's a long name!)

It's not the St. Tropez, that's a different car.  ;)

Djetset

So it's not the Neckar 1200 'OSI' , as the 1200 S St Trop was also known?
