??? That is a Formula 2 HWM

I have him driving an HWM in the 1952 Dutch GP.  But don't can't find any records of him racing a Formula 1 car of any kind. But as complete information on non-championship races is hard to come by I'll keep looking.

At the time they could compete, as far as I know in F1-races?

It's not that simple.

In 1952 and 1953 the World Championship was contested by Formula 2 cars and Formula 1 cars were ineligible for the championship grands prix.

In 1950-1951 and again in 1957-1960 some Formula 2 cars did compete in championship grands prix either as part of the main entry or in a separate Formula 2 class.

So in 1952 to compete in the World Championship (of what?) you had to race F2 cars?
In any case, in Holland he is considered their first F1-driver.

Yes that's right.  At the end of 1952 Alfa Romeo withdrew from grand prix racing.  This left only Ferrari, outclassed Maseratis, Talbots and Gordinis plus BRM as the only Formula 1 cars available to contest the grands prix.  The race organisers were afraid that nobody would come to watch a Ferrari walkover and decided to run their races for Formula 2 cars.  And the World Drivers' championship did the same.

You would be correct to say that Dries Van der Lof and Jan Flintermann were the first drivers from the Netherlands to compete in a World Championship race when they took part in the 1952 Dutch Grand Prix.

The confusion comes since the World drivers' Championship was re-titled "The FIA Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship" in 1981 and people apply the title retrospectively to the earlier World Drivers' Championships.
