For 1 point what is this car, from when?

Google Image Search continues to raise its ugly head on AutoPuzzles.
For the sake of our newer members who may not be aware of past discussions on it, Google Image Search as a means of solving puzzles is banned on this website.

AutoPuzzles is primarily a game of automotive knowledge, not of who can copy and paste the quickest.

We ask all members to remember and respect this, and retain the right to ask puzzle-solvers how they came to their answer.

Have fun!

The answer lies elsewhere within AutoPuzzles, though this one was not a puzzle in its own right.

Absolutely right, but of course it's never been a puzzle of its own so I thought it was time it was, especially as it's so obscure few probably AutoPuzzlers know what it is.  Maybe Otto's hint helped you with the answer?..

Anyway, I also asked from when it dates, so I need that before I can award a point and move this to Solved.

Locked for you of course.

He started building it in 1956 and finished it in 1958.

According to one source I found, it should be displayed in the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada, but I can't find anything on their site about the Debiaggi. Anybody has more info on its whereabouts? And maybe a few more pictures?

It seems to have vanished after being sold by its second owner. Additional details and photos:

Original engine: Hanomag 1.3L 4-cylinder
Second engine: Ford 221 flathead 3.6L V-8

Originally light blue with red leather interior; repainted red by second owner.
