Thanks for the very prompt reply.  I didn't think it was one, but it does have a Pegaso look about it.

It's a RAOR!
RAOR Fiat 1100B Sport 1949, body by Sperandeo.
I know it was for sale and I met the owner few years ago...
Here are the pics I took:

Right! :)
And thanks for the pics! I couldn't find anything of that quality on the internet!

"Carozzeria Sperandeo" was new for me.

Anyone knows what ROAR means?

RAOR actually..

I bet PJ knows.
This car actually featured in his Etceterini Madness some time ago, but no-one expanded on what it meant then either...:

It's not the correct acronymous; i'm the nephew of one of the three founders (Farina, Falanga and the principal, my grandfather, Giuseppe Li Greci).

The esact acronymous is Rettifiche Autorizzate Operai Riuniti

Ciao Beppe,

(Hi Beppe,
welcome to Autopuzzles!
Finally it's clear what that name stands for...have you got any pics or info about your grandfather's cars?
In Curami's book there are two 'siluri' RAOR on pag.306 but not a single Barchetta... do you know how many cars were built? )

A homebuilt special with a Ford chassis & engine, and a proprietary fibreglass body.  Named the XXX Special after its builder?
