Produced by American Locomotive Co. (ALCO), General Electric and Ingersoll-Rand in the early 1920s for the Jay Street Connecting Railroad.
It was diesel powered and was known by the model name GM-50.

João

Interesting. My source says a different name for this automobile.

woodinsight

I've also seen it called Cyclops

João

Not a Cyclops,sorry.

This is the photo I found that accompanies my reply #8

I haven't found a name for it yet only that it was manufactured by a combination of ALCO, General Electric & Ingersoll-Rand. It is referred to by the name Cyclops but I believe that's only a nickname owing to its single headlight.
Anyway I'll keep searching.......

I will say perhaps, you are thinking this vehicle as a? MGM movie publishing sound train.
