Which car is this?
-
Exps
-
Probably French?
-
no
-
Eastern Europe?
-
Brazilian?
-
no and no
-
For me, it is indeed the Teilhol TLX 325 or 400, a french voiture sans permis launched at the 4WD/voiturette Paris Motorshow in october 1985. Rear engined, Lombardini 325 or 395 cc, built in Courpičre, Auvergne...
-
But that would make it French, something which was said to be not the case.
-
It is absolutely the same shape, without a single difference. So I'm sure this is the Teilhol TLX... With that german plate, perhaps a special version for german disabled... Made for ATW ?
-
maybe a licensed copy
-
Let's ask: Is it German?
-
no
-
So, was it a licensed version made in Europe ?
-
yes. I don´t know if it was produced in series, as I didn´t find anything in the internet
-
Spain?
-
The only clue that I have is that there was later a portuguese made version of this body, but with FWD. The original was the Teilhol TXA, the licensed version the Evasao TXA/Sprint 500.
Have I got it ? ???
-
nor Spain, neither Evasăo
-
the licence plate can help us about the origin of this little car?
-
I don´t understand so much about European license plates, but if you´re refering to the color of the plate, yes, it helps about the origin of the car
-
Steyr?
-
Jehle from Liechtenstein?
-
locked 72 hours to Studhamsmudger, because it´s a Steyr
-
Still, the car it is based on IS the Teilhol TLX for sure. I'll post a picture of this.
-
Steyr-Daimler-Puch Diamant
-
Available from 1988 onwards, from what I understand.
-
I have only as Steyr Diamant, but it´s so obscure that deserves a point. BTW: did you find it on the internet?
-
The only time I have come across it was in the card game "Ökoflitzer" by F.X.Schmid.
It surely used the Teilhol TLX body.
-
Astonishing ! I've never ever heard of this... Although I have quite good knowledge and archives on french and italian modern microcar ('voiturettes') !
It is quite intriguing, so I'll ask to some ex-bosses of Teilhol to learn a bit more about that austrian version. Anyway, I'm almost sure that it was never really produced in this version.
Anyway, on this site, we learn that it was some kind of swiss subsidiary of Steyr who has made this conversion, with electric engine.
<<< link removed >>>
Just look at 'Steyr'. Now it makes some sense : it was a time when there was quite a lot trying at electrifying our voiturettes. Some has try to do it on the basis of Ligier, JDM (Solec Riva), Erad, Hodgep...
I'll let you know if I learn more with Teilhol people ! ;)
-
In fact, you can see the Swiss flag on the picutre of Wendax too!
-
I found a site from a collector of electric cars, where it is stated that 500 Steyr Diamant were built exclusively for the Swiss market.
