Which car is this?
-
Clenet (Mercedes-Benz 540K lookalike) made in the USA in the mid to late 1970s/early 1980s and based originally on a Lincoln chassis and drivetrain.
-
no, only inspired in Clenet
-
Excalibur
-
no, only inspired in Clenet
So it must be a Corsair
-
no
-
Well you do surprise me.
It looks exactly like a Corsair but with a Clenet badge...
It can't be a Wasil can it?
-
no. If I´m not wrong, the wings were bought from the person that produced the Corsair.
-
Well if it's neither a Roaring Twenties Corsair nor a Clenet then I regret to say I'm completely stumped.
Can't find anything that looks anything like close to those two, which look just about identical to your picture apart from perhaps the badge and wheels!
They all seem to be based around an MG Midget body and windscreen incl yours but can't identify it.
-
To help you, it´s a one off and made in USA
-
up
-
Could it be a Desande?
-
no. I think that Desande was British, this is an American one-off
-
Dragon Coachworks by Leonard Rivero ?
-
no
-
Was this built in Fort Lauderdale, Florida?
-
I don´t remember exactly, I will look in the magazine as soon as possible, but I think that you are right
-
Then my bet would be Steering Wheels
-
not a Steering Wheels, it´s a one-off. A clue: made by an architect.
-
four letters in the nam (again ;D)
-
buried
-
I guess that only four letters in the name, plus being a one-off, rules out the Sparks Turbo II?!
-
MARTIN TAYLOR Dussey?
-
no and no
-
clue: made by an architect
-
Doval Shadow
-
no
-
Made by Martco?
-

It can't be a Wasil can it?
It had better not be a Wasil!
It wasn't last time I asked anyway...!
-
no
-
clue: made by an architect
Chip Foose?
-
no
-
Silvaire
-
no
-
Johnson Presidential (rather more than four letters, but... ???)
-
no
-
Is this car the only one built by this architect?
-
as far as I know, yes. A clue: it was featured at Kit Car Illustrated magazine.
-
That clue is in the photo, up right. please a new one!! ;D
-
sorry :-[. Name: I_ _ _
-
The four letter car's name are the Initials of the builder's name? or his Last name?
-
Indy?
-
Iota?
-
Last name, that´s not Iota or Indy
-
clue: he is an architect from Phoenix, and member of the Arizona Kit Car Club
-
Jim Ihms?
-
Yes, it´s the Ihms!
-
Are you sure it's not a Clenet?
Is there a scan of that article?
