What was the name of this interesting racing machine?
Who built it and when?
One point puzzle.
-
Not very many people looking at this so I'm moving it up
-
Here's another view
-
Is that a Jaguar engine?
-
Yes it is!
-
Jaguar HK Special - did you take the picture at Meadowbrook?
Gordon Parker was a long-time race enthusiast and his friend, Herbert Kinsbury had already built two notable Jag-powered racers. In 1957 Gordon Parker had a dream to set the fastest time of the day at the Brighton Speed Trials so he commissioned his friend and noted engineer, Herbert Kingsbury to create the HK Special Jaguar. The result was the realization of Parker’s dream. On a fine September morning in 1961, Gordon Parker set the record of the day in this HK Special Jaguar.

That's the car Otto.
I didn't take the photo so I don't know the location.
I have some other photos of when the car was first built and will post them here shortly.

Two more photos -
First is in 1960 when the car was painted pale blue.
Apparently it was very fast in a straight line but had an aversion to corners.
The second is when the car was owned by Dr. Philippe Renault and painted black.
The photo shows the car at a speed trial at Le Mans in 1973.

Another when the car was new -
