For my 200th puzzle I thought I'd try something different - a group puzzle to brighten up your dark winter evenings (except if you are in the southern hemisphere of course!)
You will find 15 female racing drivers (all post WWII) and 15 racing cars - some are easy and some more difficult.
What is required is to match the driver with the appropriate car they have driven at some point in their careers.
The full name of the driver and the matching car will gain you a point (no points are awarded for just guessing a driver or car without tying them together - it would also give other puzzlers an advantage).
Points will be awarded on completion of this puzzle.
If this is successful I'll do another when this one is solved.
The best solution for this puzzle is to put it straight into the top level - Rookies, Experts & Pros can all have a go (even the tea lady in the AutoPuzzles admins' office! ;))
Drivers -
and the second batch -
Cars -
and the second batch of cars -
11. Milka Duno -20 Nascar Stock car
That's correct - but you have to match her up with a car to gain a point

Is #12 Bonnie Henn? She then should be associated with #30 - Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona.

Starting in 1979, the Capri was the Mercury version of the Ford Mustang.
#9 and #19--Betty Haig, 1951 LeMans driver of a Ferrari 166MM Coupe...
I'll put this in a separate post so as not to break protocol, but if #9 is not Betty Haig, it is Yvette Simone, her co-driver.

#9 and #19 - correct pairing and you're almost there.
#9 is misspelt (both names).
Locked for you to provide the correct name.

I'm going to say it's Yvonne Simon...as far as Betty Haig's concerned, that's the only name I can find for the '51 LeMans...unless the pic is from another year...

Okay - only three left - time for some clues
All the remaining girl drivers are British.
#02 - was a fierce campaigner in sports cars. Competed in the Targa Florio with her husband.
#12 - usually drives the car with her husband who was well-known in the music business.
#15 - was often faster than many other men driving similar cars in UK club racing.

Perhaps her mother knew her as Annette?
Not that.
The girl's surname includes what has already been mentioned!
Well, other than Nettie, I found Hettie and Annete. Since you said my original name was close, I'll go with Hettie...
I think you misunderstood - the girl's surname was close, not her first name
Can't see that this is locked for Aaron65?
#12 is Sally Mason-Styrron, Dudley's wife, who regularly drove their 1972 Daytona 365GT/4/C Reg No WRF 756L in competition (the very one pictured in #20).

No - it wasn't locked.
You have the correct answer Carnut - well done!
That leaves just one to solve #15 obviously tied with car #21
I think if you find the car and look at its marque racing/history/results, you will find this girl there somewhere
Another photo of #15 at Brands Hatch in 1989
Think car #21 is a Davrian?
Still working on the lady though..
Davrian it is.
The car #21 in the puzzle was her original car whereas the last picture I posted was with her later model Davrian.
It´s locked?
No I haven't locked it.
First come, first served for the last pairing which I think is fair.
Pat Longhurst and Davrian GT?
Isn't Pat Longhurst actually Patrick Longhurst?!!
This is what you get when you shoot in the dark!
Julie Thwaites and DAVRIAN Gt?

That's the girl!
Pat Longhurst was actually a man, albeit with long hair (and a beard!) so could be discounted.
This puzzle is now officially solved (in three days! - must be a record for a group puzzle?)
Question is - do I post a Part II? It may be a bit harder with a few easy ones thrown in.
Let me know your opinion (I know PJ and Aaron65 will be in favour) but are any others interested?
Always of interest! Even if we can't solve them!
Thanks Carnut.
It might be a few weeks as it takes a while to scan photos to size and carry out the research.
You may see a Sports Racing Cars Part 2 beforehand if puzzlers would hurry up and solve the first one!
