After we just had a Georges Irat with a very similar looking Salmson S4 body: Is this a Salmson S4?

;D No.. It's an obscure car from France.

Not La Licorne or Rochet-Schneider

Delaunay-Belleville?

What puzzles me is that the front end looks slightly older than the back. Is it a custom body?

Not a Lorraine ... it´s based on a Sport car that can be associated with Subaru Impreza  ;D

Rally 8 CV with Salmson engine?

Yes! It´s a Rally Coach..
Now I need to know the year and the model to give you the point

I´ll post another picture here soon :

The year must be 1932 or 1933, because then Rally ceased production. It went under the name of Rally 1500.

I had this model taken into consideration very early, since most details fitted (flared fenders, louvered hood, chrome bar between the front wings, RHD), but the only picture of the Rally 8 CV I have, shows a convertible and that is very low-slung and sleek looking. The pictured car, although being a coupe, looks more like a two-door sedan, which led me to the thought that it can't be a Rally.

It surely is beautiful, and looks much more like a sports car from the front.
