The base of this car should be quite obvious but who built it and why is it unusual (perhaps unique)?

Scottorn 6x6 Range Rover
this was the last Scottorn Trailers 6x6 Range Rover built (number 5), constructed around the time of Scottorn's takeover by Reynolds Boughton
