I've actually seen this one 1770 Fardier de Cugnot (or replica of)

Yep, indeed the 1769 Fardier de Cugnot! The world's first automobile (and causer of the world's first traffic accident too when the driver lost control of it and ran through a garden wall...).

Where did you take those pictures?  I know the original is in the National Academy of Arts and Métiers, in France, where it's been since 1800. Was it there? Obviously it's not the same car as depicted by me...  :P

There are at least two replicas: one belongs to the Deutsche Ban Museum in Nuremberg, Germany, and a running replica has been made by the Tampa Bay Auto Museum, which presumably is the subject of Amsterdam's picture.

This car was on a feature in a German car magazine on television called "Abenteuer Auto".

Unfortunately, I cannot find a stream that is visible outside of the German speaking countries.
