Once again the marque, model and coachbuilder is required
Let's see if an expert knows....
Must be a Bugatti?
French coachbuilder?
It is a Bugatti but the coachbuilder is not French

British? It has a Gurney-Nutting look about it...
Not British either - the answer may surprise you!
I wish I could remember this one!
Was it American by any chance?
That was also my next question...!
Yes gentlemen, the coachbuilder is American
It's chassis #43264, a Bugatti Type 43 originally bodied by Weymann but later re-bodied into this streamlined coupe by Derham.
That's the car - well done!
(Researching another car, I found some information on the Derham Bugatti)
The Derham Bugatti led a rough life. At one point, it had a Ford 6-cylinder engine. Its chassis and suspension were shipped off to Europe, and the body shell was sold, to become a "street rod". (Information as of late 2011)
Here are two different views of this Bugatti while it was complete, and another view as it was starting to decay.
sixtee5cuda - thank you very much for that extra piece of information and the interesting photos.
