Well this one is a bit of a mystery for me.
I know the make and model but not who built the coachwork.
One point on offer for the full answer.

woodinsight

Experts? who built this body?

Tackitt

Very handsome car!  The bodywork looks German. Is the car German?

barrett

I guess it's a Lancia Astura but I've no idea about the body. I agree it has a certain Germanic quality though...

Yes I agree the bodywork appears to be German but the car was registered in the UK.

Yes, it's a British registered Lancia Astura.
I still need the coachbuilder (I don't know) for the point.

woodinsight

I wonder if a pro has the answer? (I need some sort of proof for the point)

Pininfarina!
There is the PF logo on the side of the car.
I have my Pininfarina Encyclopedia in a box and can't verify but I'll post the details when able.

Pininfarina!
As I stated before PJ I don't know who the builder is. I'm sure you will be correct but do you have any proof?
Anyway it's locked for you now....

My encyclopedia is in a box now and I can't check but I'll post more info when able.
You can unlock it, thank you.  ;)
Those pics are there just to show the logo, I know they are a different serie.

Wendax

Not a proof, but a hint. I had noticed that on some Asturas Pininfarina had used the same hood louvers:

Thanks PJ that's more than enough proof for me together with Wendax's photo showing Pininfarina's bonnet side louvres.
Another point for you.

Mine is just on the shelf, so I checked it.  I can't find back the exact same car in the Catalogue RaisonnĂ©, but a very, very similar car (side indicator behind the rear doors is missing, it has an additional pare of headlights,...) is present as a Lancia Astura IV serie Berlina from 1940.
Looking at the lights, I believe that the picture was taken during the war.
