Title: Solved - MJW #441 - Eldred Norman's Double V8 Special 1948
Post by: woodinsight on May 20, 2011, 04:11:23 PM
What racing car is this? The man who built it is pictured.
What is required for a point is the builder's name, what the car was called, what powered it and what year did it first race?

Yes, it is the Double V-8.
I don't know if it is the Mk 2.
I'll lock it for you now to come back with the builder's name and what is was powered with for the solution.

Built by Eldred Norman using two Mercury V8s...
That's correct. By the way the car made its' first appearance in 1948.
As far as I know there was only one car that was modified and probably became the Mk 2 version.
I'll scan the full story when I get a moment and post it here.
