Vereinigte Werkstätten?
Yes, locked for you to tell me which person was involved and what the car was exactly based on.

Unfortunately, I can't get hold of my books (I' moving soon). I've seen a picture of this car somewhere before, but I just can't get a name connected. My guess for the base car would be BMW 328. Please unlock.

Very close, but not on a 328...

If you really want I unlock it again.

Georg Engelhard ?
Veeeery close, but it's not Georg Engelhard.
Locked for you to try again!

Let's say Herr Engelhard then... :P Sorry no brilliant further ideas..

Allemano

Georg is a "Herr Engelhard", too.
It was built by one of his relatives using the Engelhard workshops for his own project.

Thank you for that snippet, but as I told before I have differerent info for this car.

Unfortunately, Mr. Rosellen aka Thyssen-Bornemissza isn't too reliable.

Is it working again?

Wendax

I don't think so. I meant the information he gave in his books as well.

Wendax

Is it still locked? I know who you are looking for.

According to a 30 year old magazine article, it should be Franz Engelhard, the son of Georg Engelhard.

Yes! Well done!

A second source (Das Auto 17/1949) also claims this to be a BMW 319:

So, I am quite sure this was a small 319, which also would fit much better to the puzzle car if you compare it with the big 327...
