My notes reckon it's Avus 1952, but You've identified the car and I will award the point.

I am not sure about the race....
It can also be the race in Dessau or the Kieler Hafenkurs-race 1950. With the same race number used...

Yes. the houses in the photo look wrong for Avus but that's what the caption claims.
