A few more for the remainder of the weekend.
This is not the usual type of vehicle I normally post but it has been on my HD for a long time and needs solving.
Firstly apologies for the out-of-focus image (I do have a better rear view image but that would immediately give the game away).
For a point, what was this vehicle known by, who built it, when and what was it based on?
Full answer please.
Experts?
Well it is based on a Jaguar XJ6, I thought I had found the car but it was another based on an XJS

Hope you won't be disappointed but it's not based on an XJ6.....
Perhaps a Pro can solve this one?

Daimler Double Six? ;D
That's correct - based on a Daimler Double Six.
Time for a hint or two.
The surname of the man who built this extraordinary vehicle is associated with a place where a healthy item of food can be found.
What he named it is associated to a colour.

Okay I'm giving it away now but I need to have this one solved!
Locked for you.
I found an unobstructed version of the same picture. No builders name given, and erroneously tagged as a Jag.
So, it's down to guessing. Appleton?

It was the only way of solving this one I believe.
Anyway, another point for you.
