I say with a smirk, Birk?

Thanks for bearing with me on this. I'm very interested to know the history.

Jeesisss H. Chrysler, it would have to be the last one, wouldn't it!!!
So it's got to be Anawander, right?

So eventually you got there my friend :)

"In Bregenz-Kennelbach-Vorarlberg baut die Karosseriefabrik Th. Anwander's Söhne diesen 1-ton-Kleinlastwagen auf dem Jeep-Chassis"

Th. Anwander's Sons made this 1-ton small truck on the basis of a Jeep in Bregenz-Kennelbach-Vorarlberg in 1947.

Today the Anwander family is an Opel dealer.

Two points for you!

Vincent Vell Vet

Wow, THAT was easy.  ::) haha!

Thanks for your added info. I find this truck interesting.
I'm surprised it's a 1-ton!
Is there a source I could check out to learn a little more about these?

I found this car in an old issue of Austro Motor. Maybe you'd contact the current Anwander company and see if they got any photos and info!

Vincent Vell Vet

Yes, I was thinking of doing just that as I have searched and searched on the web and can't find a single word or pic anywhere!

Looks like "Vinnie The Torch" was tying to ID this at the very same time.  8)
