Well to me it has the look of a late 1930s body by the Carlton Carriage Co.

Hard to know as I have no visual memory of most of the well-known voices I know!

Well the man billed as "The Voice of them All" in that sort of timescale was Peter Cavanagh who looked like this, which is similar at least.
