Well it's not easy to define the singular of a neologism created in the States to mimick an italian word but here the name comes from the various StanguellINI, VolpINI, BizzarrINI, BandINI, GiannINI, ErmINI etc etc...hence EtceterINI

So such words don't actually have a plural like we do (1 Austin, 2 Austins etc etc) - it's 1 Volpini, 2 Volpini and so on?

The name itself sounds like a plural but it's a surname and the singular just doesn't exist (like Harris can't be converted into 1 Harry

).
You can say 2 Ferraris or 2 Austins in English but in Italiano, 1 Alfa Romeo (that sounds singular) and 2 Alfa Romeo, 2 De Tomaso, Allemano and so on.

Bernardini Fiat Biasca 1949?

Well done!
This car was registerd in 1950 by Mario Bernardini from Pistoia and it's based on a Fiat 508s.
More on Curami's "La Sport e i suoi Artigiani".
(I have to check the "Biasca" part on the book...)
