Title: Solved - MJW #618 - De Luca Fiat-Lancia
Post by: woodinsight on September 21, 2011, 03:30:05 AM
What is the story of this small sports car and what year does it date from?
Base car should be easy but what engine does it use?
One point for the correct and complete answer.

1939 Lancia Ardea De luca
Interesting, you seem to have the correct car but I have a different description of it.
It's one of the few images that I've taken from the 'net and I'm quite aware that my information may be incorrect.

I have it as a De Luca Fiat-Lancia of 1949 apparently Fiat based.
Do you have more positive information?
I'll lock it for you in the meantime before I award you the point.

Thanks for the interesting photo SACO.
I haven't been able to find out anymore about De Luca (after a brief search) and assume that that is the constructor.
I'll call it solved as a De Luca Fiat-Lancia unless anyone knows more.
Another point for you.

I have reason to believe this car is not what I have it as and is in fact a photo-shop job on a car which has been puzzled here before..
If that's so it will be deleted, not even merged, as it would be a fake.
Just awaiting confirmation!

I've decided to merge it, if only to show how easy it is to get caught out...
