Is it a WH Imp? If so, it was one of two made on Hillman Imp platforms in around 1970.

Pretty sure you're right with that one Hezza, but I'm away from home at the moment without my files.

Yes, it's one of the 2 WH Imps built by Richard Haste and Tony Whitehead, this one completed in 1970.
As Shamrock says, this is the car featured in Hot Car magazine in early 1971.
