What is this car for a point?  Please excuse the poor-quality photo.

This appears to be Dennis Owen-Rees' Aerees II which was based on a Fiat Topolino chassis and powered by a Wolseley straight-six engine. It was completed in 1947 and subsequently used for hillclimbing and speed events.

Gosh, trust you to know this one Hezza.  Welcome back, and hope all is well.  Oh, and by the way, another point to you!

Can I ask in what country this was built please?

The builder is probably turning in his grave! The car was built in Wales by Dennis Owen-Reeves.

It still exists and I regularly use it in hill climbs and driving tests. Great fun to drive.

If I knew how to I'd add a recent photo. Or you could just google wolseley aerees to find one.

It's easy to add pictures from your files but they must be in jpg format.  Simply click on 'Additional Options' in your reply and then click 'Browse' your pictures file; double-click on the one you want and its location will appear in the box.  Click 'Post' and Bob's your Uncle!

With the name Owen-Rees, I should have guessed the Welsh connection!  ;)

I hope I've just added 2 recent pictures. The bent grille is the result of an off at Goodwood a couple of years ago in heavy rain. A beautiful pirhouette until the bank got in the way.

Djetset

As a Goodwood man I remember of 'off' quite well ukpo. Nice to see some colour photos and hope the car is still running well.
