..but this is indeed what it is.
It started life as Aston-Martin (DB3?) chassis DP115/1 but then became Lagonda DP166/1 with the V12 engine for just one outing, at Le Mans in 1955, where it ran for 93 laps before retiring.
After that it metamorphosed again into Aston-Martin DBR2/1, chassis DP 115/3!
