Fairman Carro c.1991?

Djetset

Gosh, you're digging up some names that I haven't heard of for years WI.  It's not a Fairman, but do keep them coming.

Savant by Sector 3 Ltd. of Huddersfield?

Djetset

No, the Savant was much more curvaceous.

Albo from Albo Engineering of Batley?

Djetset

I know the Albo well, and that was much nicer and more professional than this one, so no.

Okay, one last guess before hitting the sack.
Opus?

Djetset

Not an Opus.

Sleep well, and don't have nightmares dreaming about odd Lotus Seven-inspired cars!

Djetset

I can't see this one rising from the ashes, so not a Phoenix.

Still five to go!
Stimulator, or it may be Simulator, from Paignton in Devon?

Djetset

I remember the Stimulator (a very large Seven-esque kit car) but don't recall a Simulator.  Anyway, neiother of those, so four more to go!

Racecorp from Chinner, Oxon?

Djetset

I recall the LR Racecorp very well too, as it's Chinnor base was just a few miles from my home in the Chilterns.  Sadly though, it's not that one either.

Spyder from Spyder Cars/Spydersport of Peterborough?
I think my last two guesses will be too new, they are both later than 2000.

Djetset

Ah, the Spyder, with it's Colin Chapman-esue central chassis. Sorry not that one either, and the mystery car is pre-2000, so hope this doesn't rule out your final two possibilties.

woodinsight

Unfortunately I think it will.
My last two were RAW Striker and R Motorsport.
It's possible I missed some others so if I come across anything else I'll try again..... :'(  ;D

Djetset

Sorry WI, but it is neither of those either.  A valiant effort all the same so far though, including a couple of names I didn't know myself, so well done, and don't give up!

Don't worry I won't give up!
I wonder if all these were covered in Chris Rees' book on All the Sevens?

Djetset

I think this one may have escaped Mr Rees' attention, which is most out of character!

Just found another name that offered plans-built Lotus Seven type cars from 1991 - Mahdeen?

Djetset

Ah well done, as Mahdeen it is!  I'm not sure if any/many were built beyond the car in th photo, but it's certainly a very obscure Seven.  Another point to your tally.
