Surprisingly, it seems as if no-one had asked if it's from GB yet. Not that it would bring me any closer to an answer ...

You're right, they haven't.
It's not from GB no, but it is based on a British car..

Nothing to do with Nash or Healey.

Though there aren't that many countries left let me narrow it down. Is this an entirely European car?

QuoteThe smart aluminum-bodied coupe pictured at the top of the next page was built by a Ford dealer in Sweden on an English Ford Prefect chassis and engine.  The chassis was lowered to make way for the low-slung styling.  The final over-all measurements are:

   Length: 13 feet 5 and one-half inches
   Width: four feet nine inches
Height: four feet three quarters inches
   Ground Clearance: 5.9 inches
   Weight: 1631.3 pounds

The instrument panel contains a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, ammeter, electric clock, tachometer, direction indicator, and main beam warning lights.  Twin carburetors and a special cylinder head give the car a top speed of 80 mph at 6,000 rpm.

Allemano

hahahahahahahahaha!  >:D

Allemano

Still don't know from where Carnut got the infos for a production year...

Wendax

I go for 1953 and hopefully grab the point

Allemano

It was apparently featured in a 1953 magazine, but that doesn't necessarily mean the car is from the same year..

Wendax

It's worth a try...  ;D

Neither does Carnut...
Maybe I figured it was 1953 since that's when it featured in the mag, also that's when the new Prefect was in production.  It can't be far off.

Anyway Allemano gets the point for getting the car right first and I can't really prove the date..

Here's a car I found online.
Unfortunately it is not identified..

Some new infos about this car ? It was puzzled before and identified as a Ford Prefect from 1953. I have it as a Ford Anglia S from 1952 but that's all. Here is a rear view.
