Some new infos about this car ? It was puzzled before and identified as a Ford Prefect from 1953. I have it as a Ford Anglia S from 1952 but that's all. Here is a rear view.
Can you post the link to the old puzzle? I have the builder's name now but I'll leave the puzzle open. ;)

Pretty sure there was this pic:

I can only add the name of this Swedish dealer, and according to my source, it was an Anglia  ;).

The only differences between an Anglia and a Prefect were cosmetic - the underpinnings, engine, body etc were all the same, only the grille, trim and equipment levels were different.
So you can't really say it was based on either of them but not the other!

All models of Prefects were 4-door cars while Anglias were always 2-door but this would be irrelevant if the car were to be totally rebodied like the puzzle car was.

Is this Swedish Ford dealer still active ?

Paul Jaray

That is an extremely clever and useful question! Yes it is!

Thank you !

I've found a list of more than 100 active swedish Ford dealers so it will still require some work before finding the right one!

Is this dealer located North of Uppsala ?

Paul Jaray

I will be able to answer to all your questions soon.
I just got back from a nice event with a lot of new stuff to view and organize.
Please, be patient for a while ;)

Padova?  Close to the top of my to-do list!

I've Googled endlessly using every single relevant keyword I can think of to do with this car!  1952 Ford Anglia, glass fibre, fiberglass, Swedish dealer, coupé and many, many others.  That picture on Forgotten Fiberglass pops up like the proverbial bad penny, but absolutely nothing else whatsoever..
Google's not all it's cracked up to be!

Thank you ! But the "700 km north of Uppsala" hint was a giveaway as there's only one Ford dealer in that area !
