What's this and who built it?
For 1 point.
Experts?
Looks like a design sketch for a BMW 1-series Coupé (E82) ...
Karmann related?

You're at the bottom of the right tree to bark up..

Not Karmann-related though.
Got it! It's a design study for a BMW 2-series done by BMW Designworks USA in 1995.
I like it; it's got a hint of 'BMW 508 with the hardtop' viewed from the side ...

Your solution differs slightly from mine, so I tried Googling exactly what you wrote and got... nothing! No pictures of this car at all. So you did very well indeed to find it..
So that I can check out your answer thoroughly can you point me to where you found it please?
Thanks
I typed a few things into Google and found indeed ... nothing (like you said). Now, Google always makes suggestions while you are typing, so when I was typing 'BMW Design', I saw that Google suggested 'BMW Designworks USA'. I've heard of that company before and I did take a look at their site (you never know). I've searched the site a bit and found the other pictures of the car in your puzzle ...
The numberplate reads M-DW-225 on the sketch, so I took a bit of a gamble with this and assumed this stands for M-Devision, Design Works, 2-series and 2.5 engine ... And since BMW has been talking about bringing out a 2-series (that's no secret) in the future, I put 2 and 2 together and assumed this was a design study for a future 2-series ...
I did'nt use Google Image Search, I always try to find puzzles the honest way ...
Fair enough.
I actually had it as a Z3 Coupe Concept but oddly they don't give it a name on their website; it just seems to be a general coupe concept.
So since they don't call it a 2 series I'll stick with what I had.
1 point to you anyway. Well done.
