Please read the rulebook at top of each section. (there you'll find the reasons why! http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=6857.0)
If you want to post links under all circumstances you can do so by PM-ing the author of the puzzle, but please not for everyone to see.

Then you must PM me with the link and I'll check it out.
I Googled your reply but came up with nothing...
Also I do have a name and designer for this car which has no connection with RS Designs AFAIK, but I will check anything out as I have been known to be wrong before...!

should I focus on the fact that both cars features not so good looking modern wheels or on the fact that the other is a De Tomaso?

RS Design Corsa Spyder Concept

Sorry, no.

Yes it is...

Yes, I know all that and del78 is going to get his point because clearly it is the same car.
But who are RS Designs?  I can't find any proof (and no-one has given me any yet) that they (whoever they are) had anything to do with the design of this car, other than putting pictures on the Internet saying it's an RS Design Corsa Spyder Concept.

I have it as something else and the proof I have would leads me to believe my source is correct, but then again it may not be.

I want to see definitive proof of exactly what it is before moving this to the Solved section!

so I tried to look for any other info but nothing
this car was displayed ay Concorso Italiano 2009 in deTomaso section and it looks like new Vallelunga concept
maybe it has something in common with Tom Tjaarda and his new company?
i have no idea so far what is this

Carnut

According to the info I have you're on the right track there, del78!
Keep digging!

Looking at the link sent to me by del78 the car in my photo is actually described on its windscreen as an RS Design Corsa Spyder, so I've given del78 his point and moved this car to 'Solved'.

I actually had it as a one-off de Tomaso Pantera redesign by Tom Tjaarda, who also designed the original Pantera of course.  Other pictures of the Corsa Spyder suggest the mechanicals are pure Pantera.

So I'm not sure what is right and what is wrong.  The name is obviously right, and the design looks very accomplished so it could well be a Tom Tjaarda job.  I can't find any more info about it or about RS Designs but if anyone can then I'd love to know the full and complete story!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I highly doubt that Tom Tjaarda was involved in this as it's not his style at all.

I agree, but I thought maybe he had changed his style for this commission!

I have received a communication from the son-in-law of the designer and builder of this car.

There is, as we thought, no Tom Tjaarda connection.

The concept was drawn and modelled about 20 years ago and it has taken this long for the design to come to fruition.

The chassis, aluminium body and interior are all hand-made.  The wheels are made from a billet.  The engine is a Ford 351W bored to 377 cu in with approx 650 bhp and it has a ZF 5-speed manual.

Robert, the builder's son-in-law, is available to answer any questions anyone may have.

It is certainly a beautiful car and a fantastic hand-made job.  Sounds pretty quick too...!
